okay, so now I'm kind of saying goodbye to 2007 already. And I'm just 'reminiscing' some memories, happenings that are quite unforgettable. Some of them are just random whatevers.

*2007 was gadget year for me. I had my own sony digicam, a nokia 6300 (both for my birthday) and bought my very first iPod nano 3rd gen. From then I became more vain because of the camwhoring! And I Love love vortex!
*I tried to say goodbye to shopping in 2007. I un-became (whatta term) an impulsive buyer, and I think carefully of what to buy. But then this december, of course, was my most 'magastos' month because of the season. And 'twas the first time that I bought 3 jeans in just a week! Talk about an addict! Well..
*2007 was when I said goodbye to buying havaianas after a year of 5 pairs. Not much, but still, it's not that practical to buy more since many peole have it already- that you can bump into dozens of people wearing the exact pair. So my resolution is to just save up for the limited edition ones and buy my first Ipanema pair. yipee!
*If 2007 was year of foreign artists for the Philippines, I only get to watch one. And that is, Beyonce's! Woohoo! Boohoo for not watching Fall Out Boy, oh maaaaan, peter's so hot!
*I became active in the Church. It started when I volunteered as ate in the Summer Kiddie Workshop, then became a cathecist the whole month of May, and joined the youth choir. Well... I also became a lector and commentator. Let's just say I enjoy serving God and making friends at the same time. Though lately.
*Academically, I did okay. Got my first 2 B's from two professors. Gosh, how can I ever forget them.
*Then, 2007 was also the year when I became 18! Already of legal age, but not really enjoying whatever rights I might have. And I'm stillllll treated as a bunso in the family!
*In the world of net, I reactivated my multiply site (which was abandoned in may 2005), opened a facebook account and became addicted.
*2007 was when friends left us to explore other countries. Julie (Italy from last April) and Karen (US, August, before her birthday!)
*I first wore a miniskirt. hah!
*I first wore black (?). I mean, I used to hate black since it only makes me darker, but then, I'm learning to loving it!
*I attended a boring candy fair (didn't even get to watch sponge cola perform), attended my 4th SC gig (which turned out to be a disaster), pupil, imago in school. There weren't really a lot of bands in school this year, unlike last year.

..and finally, 2007 was our last full year (meaning all 12 months) of inhabitance (?) Which gives that my 18th birthday was really my last year, last sem.break, last fiesta (which I wasn't even part of!), last Simbang Gabi, last Christmas, last New Year! Aww.... I'm really going to miss it here :( I can't imagine what would it be like outside. LOL. I mean, I spent my entire 18 years of living here!

How about you? How was your 2007? :)

Time flies talaga. again. Parang kaka-septemBER lang eh. Parang kakasimula lang nung 100 days na countdown that we are so fond of. And now we've got less than 4 days left. Then what? It's Christmas! But really, do we still feel the spirit of Christmas?
For me, honestly, I don't. The feeling of Christmas to me now is different from the other Christmas-es that I had. And I'm not sure why. Maybe because I'm broke this season? LOL. Or is it that there are less Christmas lights, carols, and all that? I don't think so. No Christmas party in school? Nah. But whatever the reason is, I'm hoping that I will still feel that Christmas, which is after all, is intended for Jesus.

.....

I know that many people will agree with me-- that you can really feel Christmas when you're a kid and you're expecting a lot of gifts and cash from your family, relatives and especially from ninongs/ninangs. But then, if you start to grow up, you'll feel embarassment upon doing that routine, na mamamasko. Parang mafe-feel mo na nakakahiya, anlaki laki ko na, namamasko pa ko. In my case, that's how I feel. LOL

Then, they say that Christmas is different when you're in the Philippines. Kaya nga a lot of OFW's return to the Philippines during Christmas to 'really feel the Christmas'. And if they don't, or in the case of Filipino immigrants, miss na miss talaga nila magpasko sa Pilipinas, kasi iba daw. Know what I mean? Masaya, syempre. One of the reasons is that we get to spend time with our dear loved ones, especially with our family (we are very family-oriented) and friends.

Kaya kahit na less budget tayo ngayon, less shopping for me (grabe dami talagang tao sa malls and bazaars pag pasko!), less ang lights sa iba and napaka-warm ng pasko sa Manila (literally.. it's like hell there), I hope that none of that wouldn't be a hindrance to enjoy the rest of the holidays. Like I said, spending time with family and friends, enjoying Simbang Gabi, eating A LOT, resting and singing Christmas carols are enough for all of us to enjoy the holidays. ;)

Advance Merry Christmas everyone!
