It's all about the attitude, baby.

I just finished reading the book 'Only the REAL MATTERS' by Francis J. Kong.
Big thanks to Rachel for giving me the book for my 18th birthday. I couldn't believe that I read it in only one sitting. Or should I say, lying, since I read it while lying in my sister's bed. It's not only about business how to's, or succeeding in the workplace while enjoying your career, it's also doing it in a Christian, ethical way. We all know that are supposed to know the business ethics (and follow it!), but then this book also inspires in a way that it influences the reader to be concerned about what is real and more important- and that's not just a big amount of money or fame. It is being concerned of other people, by being selfless and righteous. The book has successful failure stories (what an irony!) which tackled lives, which at first, seems to be perfect (like Elvis Presley's) but ends in a tragic way (drugs, committing suicide and all that). It also has success stories of people who rose from the bottom... and that even old aged people can still succeed! I have to take note of a quote from the book, "A person is never too old to live productively as long as he keeps an open mind". I guess the quote talks by itself. And oh, for the young too, like stories of Bill Gates and Michael Dell who are just in their university years when they started to go in their way to achievement. I am very motivated by this.. See, at the end of each story, the author quotes from the Bible which is related to the story. It gives importance to the bestseller book of all time, the Bible. The one we can turn to whenever we are confused, that 'thing' which is just lying beside the altar, waiting to be opened. The one who will teach us what the real thing is. What life is all about and how we should live it. It's not easy, but hey, we can always try. :)
...now I may sound like I'm becoming a nun, but this is REAL :)
